There are lots of things I wish I would have known at the beginning of this whole blogging thing, they would have helped me out tons. For today’s Three Things Thursday link-up the topic is this :
1- Never act out of character Some of my earlier posts are truly embarrassing I was trying to be something I was not, DON’T do it!
2- Remember you can’t please everyone. Some will love your posts, and some won’t. It is impossible to please everyone so stop trying.
3- Reach out and make real connections. Never comment on someone’s blog saying “hi awesome post, come follow my blog :)” Yuck! It only shows you haven’t read the post and you don’t care about a word they just said. Read the post, if it inspires you to comment then do it. Be sincere, because it shows, when someone is talking about a sad time and you comment about their outfit everyone sees right through it.
*The pictures have nothing to do with the post, but what’s a post without some good pictures?
Question of the Day: What do you wish you would have known when you started blogging?

2 and 3 relates more to me, some posts I think people will love, i dont get many views or comments. Posts that I think are sort of silly, gets the most recognition. You never know, so just be true, i guess.
Great post, Rekita!

What a great link up idea! I'll have to remember it for the future. You had a great list. It's funny because I've (knock on wood) never gotten a truly ugly comment, but I've gotten some negative feedback on really random things that I wouldn't have thought would get that. On the other hand, things I was nervous about posting didn't get anything negative.

What great advice!!! Those bumble bee's are darling!! =D xoxo

Love the {non-relevant} pictures!! LOL!
You are so right about your three things. I hate when people put random comments on my blog ~ hence comment moderation.
If you aren't sincere … get outta here!!
Love you girl!

I really like #2! Not everyone is going to agree with what you have to say but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be discussed! I struggled with this in the beginning but I'm so glad I let it go!
I unknowingly titled my post the same! Great minds :)…

I love the never acting out of character. It's crazy to go back to posts and read them and feel like that post wasn't you at all. I love these and the tutorials you post. For a new blogger like myself it's always great to find people who are willing to help and support! After all isn't that what it's all about?! Have a great day!

Great post, please come follow me now.
KIDDING!! One thing I wonder about in blogging is if there is anything I should be doing to better protect my blog- to back up my work, or to protect it from being hacked. I really have no idea!

I couldn't agree more! I strive to be genuine in my comments because I want my blog to be a connecting point between me and women around the world. Fake might build a "following" quickly, but readership and relationship are based on real connection.
Myranda says
I will come follow right away lol!
I think to back it up you could copy the HTML and save it as a word document, and as far as being hacked changing your password regularly and making sure it has upper case, lower case and numbers and symbols has worked for me.
Thanks for reading girl!
Myranda says
Thanks girl lol! I agree if you can't be sincere don't even bother leaving a comment
Myranda says
Thanks Heather 🙂

We would love to have you sometime! Count yourself lucky you haven't received an ugly comment, but in a way it kind of symbolizes that you have "made it" lol. It is strange how that work's isn't it?
Thanks for stopping by today 🙂
Myranda says
I know when you really stay true to you (I know it sounds corny) it get's a better response.
Thanks girl!
Myranda says
Great minds do think alike lol. Sometimes you have to talk about tough things, but you have to let go of the hope that everyone will love it.
Myranda says
Some of mine are truly scary, I really even considered deleting them… It really is about support and helping each other
Myranda says
This is very true, if you have real connections that is much better then thousand's of "followers"

I love #3!! It's all about quality! There is nothing worse then putting up a phony comment just so someone can link back to their own blog. I also agree with the other two. Always be yourself and blog for yourself! Your girls are too cute!
Whitney @ EHFAR says
I hate the insincere comments! It is totally ingenuine.
Whitney @ EHFAR says
What I hate.. Seeing the EXACT comment that someone left you on your blog and left it on someone else's. yeah, not following.
Myranda says
I know, it is so corny and really it just makes you look bad. Thanks for stopping by and I think they are cute too, but I am a little biased 😉
Myranda says
I hate seeing that too! One time someone commented on my post and said "come follow me" with about 18 different links, um I will NOT be doing that!
