1- Sign up for store emails
When you sign up for e-mails you’ll usually get a promo code to use.
Old Navy/Gap
Carters
In order to not bog down my main inbox, I have one email account set up just for sales/promotions. It also makes it easier when I need to search for a receipt for a purchase.
2- Signup for Cashback!
Right now I useRakuten and Fetch most often.
Ebates is offering $30 cashback right now. So you sign up, shop on one of their sites spending $30+ and you will get $30 cashback. It is like getting free clothes!
3- Shop Secondhand
This one can get tricky because sometimes the deals aren’t the best. You really have to watch prices and compare them to make sure you’re getting the best deal. I love shopping at Kid to Kid because they let you sell clothes back to them and get instant cash, or store credit. So if you keep your kids’ clothes nice, then sell them back you can recycle your kids’ clothes which helps the environment and your wallet. I get at least $40 every time I sell to Kid to Kid.
Facebook marketplace is also a great place to score deals on kids clothing, I also like using Mercari as well.
4- Wait
This tip mostly applies to shopping in stores like Target or Walmart. If something is brand new and just hit the shelves, waiting a week or two should get you some savings. It may come in the form of a rollback, clearance prices, or a Target Cartwheel offer.
5- Stock Up
My final tip is one that has saved me hundreds of dollars over the years. I have 6 kids and have been doing this since my oldest was a baby, so for over 12 years. Right now summer clothes are hitting the clearance racks, sandals are at a deep discount, swimsuits are being massively marked down. So go to Target and grab a plastic bin and fill it with summer clothes for next year. I like to purchase the under bed storage bins because they nicely fit under my kids’ beds or mine.
