There are only 28 more days until your Elf makes its debut. Do you find yourself scrambling last minute to set up your Elf in some magical way? Do you ever wake up in a panic, because you forgot to have you Elf get into some sort of shenanigans? I have got you covered. Hot mess moms unite!

- They can “bake” something. Set out a bowl, measuring cups, and sprinkle some flour.
- Draw funny faces on family pictures. Use dry erase and it wipes right off the glass.
- Hang family’s (clean) underwear on the Christmas tree.
- Make a swing on the ceiling fan. Attach toilet paper, or ribbon and have the elf sit on it.
- Movie night. Pop some popcorn and set the Elf up on the couch with the remote.
- Toy switch. The Elf can write a note to the kids about switching out some old toys for new ones on Christmas. It’s your chance to ditch any old or broken toys.
- Snow angels. Use fake snow and have the Elf make snow angels. You could also use sprinkles.
- Elf TP’s the bathroom.
- Bubble bath- Use mini marshmallows in a bowl or the bathroom sink, place the Elf in and give them a bottle of kids’ soap.
- Elf makes breakfast. The Elf brings the kids a fun cereal. Kellogg’s makes an Elf of The Shelf cereal, grab a box, and set out bowls and spoons.
- If you feel like doing nothing, write a fake doctor’s note. The Elf “hurt” themselves and needs to rest for 10 days, with no shenanigans.
- Make a candy cane sled and have the Elf be sliding down the banister.
- Put the Elf on the scanner and have them make funny pictures of themselves.
- Have the Elf write a note with candies, “Santa says Hi”
- Replace the star on the Christmas tree with the Elf.
- The Elf can draw faces on the bananas.
- The Elf can “fish” in the sink for goldfish crackers. Make a fishing pole out of a skewer and some floss.
- Make a mini mask for your Elf and sit them by a bottle of hand sanitizer.
- Elves like video games too set them up on your kid’s video game system.
- Dress up. Dress the Elf up in dolls’ clothes.
- Playtime, have the Elf be playing a game of cards with other action figures.
- The Elf can make paper snowflakes. Setup paper scraps and scissors, then the kids can hang the paper snowflakes up.
- The Elf can bring the kids new Christmas PJ’s
- The Elf can be sipping on syrup from the jug with a straw.
- Our Elf decorated the kids’ bathroom with Christmas lights around the mirror and Christmas window clings.
